Honda Sensing is a suite of driver-assistive technology features that help drivers stay safe with systems that warn, prevent, and mitigate incidents. The package comes standard on the RTL-E and Black Edition models and includes:
Safety in the Ridgeline starts with Honda’s innovative Advanced Compatibility Engineering Body Structure. It utilizes a complex network of frame structures to absorb crash energy and distribute it away from the occupants. It also minimizes the amount of force transferred to the other vehicle involved, keeping everyone on the road safer.
Every Ridgeline model comes equipped with a multi-angle rearview camera that allows drivers to check their surroundings before reversing. And with Guidelines as a standard feature and Dynamic Guidelines as an upgrade, drivers can maneuver in and out of tight spaces with ease. The camera includes three different angles, each offering drivers an optimal view for different situations.
Honda LaneWatch is standard starting with the RTL model. It uses a small camera mounted on the passenger side mirror to display a live video feed of activity going on in the driver’s blindspot. The video is displayed on the 8-inch audio touchscreen inside the cabin when a right lane change is signaled, and allows drivers to see up to four times more than using mirrors alone.
As drivers explore the upper trim levels, even more safety features are available. Auto High-Beam Headlights illuminate the way ahead while ensuring the Ridgeline is clearly visible to other drivers, and the blind spot information system allows drivers to see more and change lanes with more confidence.
Safety meets performance with a long list of active safety features. These features help the Ridgeline maintain good tractive control with the road and come to a complete stop more quickly in an emergency braking situation. It also helps drivers monitor the tire pressure in each of the four wheels to achieve better road performance and avoid safety risks from deflated tires.
