The 2017 Honda Ridgeline is one of the most well-equipped vehicles on the road. Even the entry-level RT model is decked out with more features than some high trim levels of competitive vehicles. In terms of entertainment, you can expect to find features like:
As you explore upper trim levels, you’ll find even more entertainment features such as HD radio, Sirius/XM satellite radio, up to four USB ports, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, Pandora capability, and a hands-free text messaging feature.
On the RTL-E trim and higher, the Ridgeline will boast an industry-first truck bed speaker system, which will pump out sound even if the bed is filled with mulch, other cargo, or even snow accumulated from the Wisconsin winter. In the cabin, there will be an extra subwoofer, making it an eight-speaker sound system at an upgraded 540 watts. There is also a 115-volt two-prong outlet in the wall of the truck bed. This outlet is great to power up power tools or other devices to perform jobs, or for entertainment purposes, it can even power a flat-screen TV.
Building upon the already well-equipped entry-level RT, other features you’ll find as you explore the upper trim levels include:
Even the budget-conscious driver interested in the entry-level RT trim will find many safety features and driving aids to make use of. A multi-angle rearview camera comes standard on the Ridgeline and it has dynamic guidelines so drivers can see behind the Ridgeline and have help backing it in and out of tight spaces.
For drivers who want more safety aids and amenities, the Honda LaneWatch system is available starting on the RTL trim and higher. This system equips the Ridgeline with a small camera that is attached to the outside mirrors. When drivers signal to change lanes, a live feed displays on the Display Audio screen inside to reveal a more accurate view than using the side mirror alone. So drivers can drive more confidently knowing the lane is clear.
But for drivers who want even more safety and driving aids, an entire suite of technology becomes available on the RTL-E and Black Edition trim levels with the Honda Sensing package. It includes features such as:
Adaptive Cruise Control: Set your desired speed and this system can detect the movement of surrounding vehicles and traffic to accommodate accordingly.
Forward Collision Warning: This system can issue a warning to drivers if the Ridgeline is approaching a vehicle or an object too quickly. It can also engage the brakes with automated emergency braking in order to avoid a collision.
Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keeping Assist: These systems work in tandem to help keep the Ridgeline within lane lines on the highway and can alert drivers if there is too much sway or can even gently nudge the Ridgeline to correct back within its lane.
Road Departure Mitigation: This system can detect and warn drivers if the Ridgeline has gone dangerously past road markers and, if necessary, can apply the brakes or steering assist to prevent an accident.
Blind Spot Monitoring with Cross-Traffic Alert: This system can help drivers keep an eye on activity in their blind spot so they can change lanes safely.
